Marie Porter is a spandex & cosplay costumer in the Greater Toronto Area, and author of the “Spandex Simplified” series of sewing manuals.

After a brief hiatus from creating custom figure skating dresses & performance sportswear, she has returned to the business, refreshed and ready to go…

Ok, enough of that third person talk! Hi, I’m Marie!

As a former - and now returning - figure skater, I feel that my firsthand experience with wearing performance spandex costuming gives me valuable insight into the needs of the athletes I design for - fit, function AND visibility!

I design and create custom costuming for figure skaters, pro wrestlers, synchro swimmers, dancers, gymnasts, custom club wear, super hero cosplay, baton twirling, and more.

If it’s spandex, odds are I can and will do it. Budget and physics* permitting, of course!

I can design an outfit from a description of an idea, from scratch, or from a supplied design. Feel free to contact me about your specific needs.

Additionally - as an autistic woman myself - I am well versed in working around sensory issues, and can work with you to create a garment that is comfortable, functional, and attractive.
